Our Story
The word D’orable is a portmanteau of the French adjective D’or, which means ‘Golden’ and the English word 'Table'. Just like our artwork is an integration of two cultures, our nomenclature talks about The Golden Table- hoping that our tabletops would be our golden ticket to putting India’s culture on the global furniture canvas.
This passion project started as a way to create artistic furniture that rallies the rich cultural heritage of India with elements of the west. It has a one-of-its-kind approach to experiencing the soul of India’s length and breadth and integrating elements unique to each part of India, albeit viewed through the lens of the world.

While our primary intent is to make exceptional high-quality art affordable, we also believe there’s sentimental value in bringing a décor item or furniture to your home. Every piece speaks a story, and we encourage our customers to write that story themselves.
Our artistic tables have a quick, hassle-free, and convenient DIY approach. With an easy engineering feat, you may not spend a lot of time building your table, but the quick process still gives you a sense of achievement and makes you feel that it is part of you.
About the founder
While excelling in her corporate career, Disha Mishra, our Founder and Art Director, felt something was amiss. The idea to start D’orable came to her when she was busy redecorating her own home. With a childhood spent across various cities of India and an artistic epiphany that took her in the grip on her trip to Europe, Disha was enthralled with the idea of blending the two. For her, art isn’t just what we see on a set canvas. Art is in the meandering bylanes; the cascading trees by the pond; the humming of the trams; the delectable taste of native cuisines; the mud roads bearing cattle footprints; but above all, art is in the eyes of the beholder.
